Job Title: Maintenance Technician / Handyman (Commercial Property)
Location: Miami, FL
Schedule: Coverage between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
(Two-person team; each works 30–35 hours/week with overlapping coverage)

About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, experienced Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the daily upkeep of a 200,000 sq. ft. commercial property complex in Miami, FL. This role focuses on routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general building support across multiple trades.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded maintenance professional comfortable handling day-to-day issues including electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and basic HVAC maintenance and minor repairs.
The role may be filled by one full-time technician or two part-time technicians with overlapping schedules to ensure continuous on-site coverage during business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems, including:
- Drywall patching, painting, and touch-ups
- Replacing light switches, outlets, and light fixtures
- Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, toilets, valves)
- Minor carpentry and hardware repairs (doors, cabinets, locks)
- Basic HVAC maintenance and minor repairs (filter changes, belts, vents, simple troubleshooting)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property management
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues proactively
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs beyond in-house scope
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
- Communicate clearly regarding work status and scheduling
- 3+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs independently
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for tenant and vendor communication
- Strong reliability, professionalism, and customer-service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor
- Familiarity with property management software
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Basic personal tools preferred (larger and specialty equipment provided)
